MEET THE DIRECTORS
Joshua D. Deininger holds a B.F.A. in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. While at Southern Methodist University he studied under world-class faculty from The Royal Ballet, New York City Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, The Martha Graham Dance Company, Paul Taylor, and Pilobolus. Mr. Deininger had the high honor in performing various masterworks during his time at college as well as the opportunity to perform with companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Upon graduation, Mr. Deininger returned to the Pacific Northwest where he performed with a side variety of studios and companies. He rose to the rank of Soloist with Olympic Ballet Theater and continues to be a featured Guest Artist with companies in the region. Favorite ballets that Mr. Deininger has danced in include “Camille A Poem of Intimacy”, “Beyond”, “Serenade”, “Cloven Kingdom”, and “Batucada” to name a few. He has also danced featured roles in various classical productions including Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Paquita, Dracula, Giselle, Cinderella, A Midsummer Nights Dream, and Sleeping Beauty.
Mr. Deiningers’ love for dance extends beyond performance into the classroom. He has been instructing students in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, and Pas Deux for the duration of his professional career. He enjoys sharing his passion for the art through performance, his choreography, and helping his students find success and fulfillment in the classroom.
In Spring of 2020 Mr. Deininger became a Board Member for the Oregon Dance Education Organization, the state affiliate of the National Dance Education Organization. He serves as the National Honor Society for Dance Arts Representative.
Elizabeth Voiles is a Bolshoi Ballet Certified Ballet Instructor, AGMA member, Principle Artist and Associate Artistic Director of COSB. She started her classical ballet training at Central Oregon School of Ballet under the direction of Zygmunt and Sarah Sawiel. She continued her study at Boston Ballet School, Kirov Ballet Academy, Cornish College of the Arts, and Ballet Chicago. Her professional career includes dancing with The Seattle Opera, Olympic Ballet Theatre, City Opera Ballet, Northwest Ballet Theater, as well as other various dance projects, collaborations and frequent guest artist positions in modern and ballet. She was also ranked in the top 25 in the nation for the 2014 Argentine Tango USA Championship.
